Rucksack

The rucksack and its content

Just like shoes, a rucksack is a very personal item. In general, the longer and more difficult the tour, the higher its functionality must be.

For a one-day tour, a daypack of up to 25 litres with a simple carrying system is sufficient. A waist belt, however, is recommended as it stabilises the position on your back and makes it more comfortable.

Children should be encouraged to carry their own backpacks, it often makes them feel more confident. However, don’t overload. A 1/2 liter bottle with a drink weighs just enough for them.

If you plan a multi-day tourgo for a minimum of a 30 L rucksack with adjustable straps, particularly for height. Tours in the winter tend to require more storage capacity due to the volume of clothing you must bring.
