Equipment
– Light hiking boots / trail running shoes with a good tread, definitely waterproof.
– Rain and sun protection clothing and material (rain jacket (maybe trousers), umbrella, cap, sunglasses, sun cream).
– Dry spare shirt for the road
– Walking-poles as needed

Evening wear, toiletries, laptops, etc. will be transported from hotel to hotel in your luggage.

First Day

From Belvedere Langhe, the highest point of our hike, we start the first day with a stage that leads us up and down, again and again in the forest, over 11km to Bossolasco. We are approaching the actual wine-growing area of the Langhe. We spend the night in a great boutique hotel, which also offers excellent cuisine.

Second Day

From Bossolasco we can already see the rolling hills of the core wine-growing zone in the Langhe, covered with vineyards and the occasional hazelnut. We soon see our destination for today, Roddino. Today, too, we go up and down, crossing a hazelnut plantation, forests and a small stream, the Riavolo, down in the valley. In Roddino, a local winegrower tells us the story of his wines, which we taste in a warm and personal atmosphere, of course we also see his small wine cellar. In Roddino we stay the night in the best B&B of the village, where an ambitious chef adapts the traditional Langhe cuisine to modern times.

Third Day

Today we head for the most famous town in the Langhe, Barolo. But before that, we pass Monforte, an up-and-coming town that has lavishly renovated its centre and where well-known international musicians perform in the small arena next to the church. In Barolo we take part in a guided tour of the Marchesi di Barolo winery, certainly a very interesting experience not only oenologically but also historically.

Fourth Day

Our last, most leisurely day of hiking takes us through the vines to Serralunga d’Alba with its striking, towering castle that can be seen from far away. If there is time, we take a look at the spartanly furnished complex and enjoy the panoramic view from above. Our hike ends here and we return to our vehicles by taxi to Alba.

Those who want can add on one or two more days and explore the area on their own!
