Schedule
With the small gondola, we first go from Niederurnen to Morgenholz. From there we walk straight up steeply but can stop at the various stations, where wood-art alpine animals are portrayed, and educate ourselves further. At the top of the Hirzli, we have an amazing view of the Mittelland, the Glarus, Central, and Bernese Alps. Time for extended photo sessions, if we feel like it. Afterward, we follow the ridge over to Planggenstock, sometimes quite airy, but always on a good path. From there the descent to Morgenholz takes place. We can stop at the Hirzli mountain inn if we are still hungry and thirsty.
